His Way Is More Effective

If I may, I would like to contribute this statement by the Apostle John...it's the verse following one of the most well-known Scriptures among Christians, John 3:16, which says, "For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life."

The verse following it is probably not as widely known, certainly not as frequently quoted, as John 3:16. It says, "God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him." John 3:17

We cannot point people to Jesus with our right hand and point AT them with a finger of judgment with our left hand. Whenever we do this, we invite God's eternally bigger finger of judgment to point at us. I'd rather God point to the finished work of Christ on the Cross for my sins, than pointing out my sins in the future, wouldn't you?

Only the Holy Spirit can convict the world of sin and He does so through our individual exercise of God's Word, as well as through the expository teaching and preaching of God's Word, the Bible, by Pastors and Bible Teachers.

Today, I'm afraid that people are more concerned with getting their points across rather than carefully explaining the points of Scripture, by book, chapter, and verse. Of the two, I believe that the Holy Spirit is more committed to His point of view, that is, Book, Chapter and verse than our opinions. What are your thoughts? #HisWayIsMoreEffective
